I got to live again. I got to go surfing again. I can be with my family. Let’s go!
JESSE - Registered Nurse:
My name's Jesse. I'm 50 years old. I'm a registered nurse at a cath lab up in San Diego. Surfing's a big deal. I surf with my son, Ryan. It's kind of our moment, it's our time. A bad day on a surfboard is always better than a good day at work. May 6th 2006. That morning, I mean I came in and I felt like I had the flu. I felt like I had just worked a double, I was sick, not feeling well. Feeling flip-flops in my chest.
SUPER: JESSE nurse
I had a near heart attack I had the good fortune of being treated immediately and not suffering any damage to my heart. They put me on the table and they put the
stents and the balloons in. The
chest pain goes away immediately, and all the sudden you start to relax. I went home after that the next day, believe it or not, that's what's so nice about this procedure I got to live again. I get to enjoy this, I get to go surfing again. I feel fantastic.I can be with my family. There's still places in this world that I haven't that I need to see, things I want to experience. I want to travel to the Far East. I'd love to see Vietnam. I'd love to take a cooking class in Tuscany. What have I got to lose?
